Each of these services is conducted with an emphasis on minimising environmental impact.
We recognise that tree surgery, particularly tree felling, might seem counterintuitive to environmental conservation. However, practices like woodland thinning can significantly benefit the environment. Thinning helps maintain a healthy woodland ecosystem by allowing more light to penetrate the forest floor, promoting the growth of diverse plant species and enhancing habitats for wildlife.
Commitment to Recycling and Carbon Sequestration
Our dedication to recycling is evident in our ambitious targets and achievements. We have invested in a static sawmill that allows us to board up timber, significantly increasing carbon sequestration compared to using the wood solely for firewood. This sawmill is a cornerstone of our sustainability practices, enabling us to maximise the environmental benefits of our work.
Moreover, our in-house firewood processors and chippers ensure that all remaining waste is efficiently converted into useful products. These products are then either sold for biomass energy, contributing to renewable energy sources, or donated to local projects, fostering community engagement and environmental stewardship.

One of our notable achievements is the planting of 75 acres of new woodland with Scottish hardwood trees on surrounding farmland. This initiative not only enhances local biodiversity but also contributes to long-term carbon sequestration, aligning with our broader environmental goals.
