Bird nesting season is a limiting factor in hedge removals as they tend to be very popular habitat for nests and wildlife. Unless necessary, we always avoid removing hedges during nesting season. However if your hedge removal cannot wait until nesting season is over, we will conduct full checks of the hedge. Before and during, to ensure no nesting birds are disturbed by our removal activities.
On some occasions hedges can even be protected against removal as part of a conservation area. We can assist with any council liaisons and paperwork, making sure you are fully covered in anything you do.
Of course we also provide hedge stump removal so you can have a completely blank canvas to work with. Removing such a large feature in you garden can be a scary change and we want to ensure that you get a head start on your new garden.

Nothing was a problem. They removed a mature Sycamore in poor condition to a habitat stump for the birds and a Crown raise and sympathetic thin of mature Elm tree, which now looks amazing. I enquired about keeping the chippings from this tree and Jason advised to keep it if I had a place to spread it as hard wood timber makes great mulch. Be aware you need to leave it for 12 months if you want to used it around flowers/plants etc. They worked seamlessly and left the place immaculate.
