EXCELLENT Based on 93 reviews Posted on Google Elaine RushantTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have just purchased a property in Cullen and the trees in our garden needed to be pruned back as the garden was very overgrown. We were extremely happy with the job carried out by Epic Tree Care Limited. Elaine provided us with a clear and detailed quote. When the work was carried out the whole team were lovely and were really helpful in passing on their knowledge about the various species in our garden. Jason also fully explained what they'd done and what they hadn't (nesting birds!) so we knew exactly how the job was progressing. A great job done! I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again in future.Posted on Google Lorna AdamTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a couple of trees removed by Epic Tree Care. They provided a quote very promptly and turned up to carry out the work at the agreed time. The team were all very helpful and friendly. The trees were cut up and left in a neat pile as we had requested. They removed all the unusable small branches and left the area tidy.Posted on Google Michael BarronTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have used Epic several times to remove large windblown and damaged trees from our garden and they always do the work very efficiently and expertly at a reasonable cost. Epic also deals with getting consent from Moray Council under the tree preservation order which covers all of the trees in our garden, so we do not need to worry about the paperwork.Posted on Google Beatrix EtienneTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve used Epic Tree Care twice now, and on both occasions they’ve delivered excellent service and great value for money. Their pricing is very competitive compared to others I looked at, and they always carry out a survey and provide a free quote before starting any work. The team arrived on time, got straight to work, and were professional and courteous throughout. They did a great job and left my garden clean and tidy afterwards. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and will definitely be using their services again in the future.Posted on Google Diane WilsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Epic Tree Care recently dealt with a 20m-plus poplar that had been blown to a precarious angle in the last storm. It was removed carefully and the surrounding area was tidier after the work than it had been before they arrived. I will certainly be using Epic Tree Care in future and am very happy to recommend them.Posted on Google John KingstonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Frequently Asked Questions
Why do people hire tree surgeons?
People hire a tree surgeon because they want the job of pruning, relocating, planting or removing a tree or stump done right. They are also aware that trees in the UK enjoy robust legal protection and by hiring a tree surgeon they can be sure all work will be done in accordance with tree protection laws and regulations. They also hire a tree surgeon because a legit tree surgeon carries a generous amount of insurance to protect himself and the client in the unlikely case of an accident.
Do I need permission to work on my trees?
While there may be instances when you do not need permission to work on one of your trees it’s always safe to assume you do need it. That’s because the UK has some of the world’s most rigorous and wide-ranging tree protection laws. Should you go ahead with pruning or removing a tree without permission and discover later it was required you could open yourself up to a significant fine. The wise thing to do is to call the pros at Epic Tree Care and let us handle any work on your trees. That way you’ll be sure the work is done right and in compliance with the law.
Can anyone become a tree surgeon?
In theory anyone who wants to pursue a career as a tree surgeon is free to do so. However, some people are definitely better candidates than others. First and foremost a tree surgeon must love the outdoors and the idea of working outdoors, even in less-than-ideal weather conditions. Secondly, tree surgery is a physically demanding job requiring the tree surgeon to spend long hours climbing trees and working with heavy equipment like chainsaws while suspended high above the ground. So a high degree of physical fitness is definitely a plus. And as you may have surmised, those with a fear of heights will not make good tree surgeons.
Do I need to tell my neighbours before I prune or remove a tree?
You are under no legal obligation to tell your neighbours that you are about to have a tree pruned or otherwise worked on. But for the sake of maintaining good relations, it would not hurt to let them know in advance. If the tree surgeon will need to access the work area through your neighbour’s property then you are legally compelled to inform your neighbour and to receive their consent before work can commence.
Can I keep the waste produced by the work done on my trees?
In most cases, we transform cut branches into logs for firewood and other waste into wood chips that can be used as a landscaping element. Any waste that cannot be repurposed is disposed of in accordance with government safe disposal regulations. That said, if you want to keep any logs or wood chips that result from work on your trees simply let us know ahead of time and we’ll be happy to turn them over to you.
