Tree Maintenance Services
At Epic Tree Care we have significant experience in tree maintenance of all shapes and sizes. Working with a vast variety of trees, big and small, deciduous and evergreen. If you are looking to maintain them in their best health you can trust us to do it safely, efficiently and with attention to aesthetics and your end goal.
As part of our service we’ll check whether your tree is protected by a Conservation Area or has a TPO. Letting you know if there are any limiting factors to any works. Occasionally there are tree protection orders which will limit the pruning and require additional paperwork. Protections like this are not a problem, just something to bear in mind when planning works. As it may also place limits on what can be proposed.
Our professional tree surgeons in Moray and Aberdeenshire are fully insured against all eventualities. Epic Tree Care holds Public Liability, Employee Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance. Meanwhile all staff are fully qualified and experienced. Copies of NPTC City and Guilds Certificates, and Insurance Documentation are available. As is our Waste Carriers licence.
The main part we like to focus on however is not the technical aspects. Which pruning techniques we should use, or what machine. As we find that what is the highest impact and difficult part of tree pruning is to establish what you, the customer really wants. Because often, our advice will change drastically depending on what your final goal is. Your plans for your space shape the environment around you. Including your trees!
Tree maintenance is a very important part of managing trees near people. It can ensure public safety, building safety and give general peace of mind. Trees in themselves of course have many benefits as a garden feature. From soil improvement, cooling shade, soil structure, habitat, UV shielding, noise dampening. As well as the “green screen” effect… if managed and maintained well, they are rarely a bad idea!
Tree Maintenance Services Aberdeenshire
As part of our tree maintenance service we work hard with you to ensure that any course of action you take regarding your tree is an informed one. As well as achieving your desires and goals. Whether that goal is to introduce light into a shaded area. Keeping a variegated species from reverting, encouraging fruiting, preventing interference with structures or BT lines. Or any of the other myriad reasons that exist for pruning trees, we can help. Trees in the wild need very little help. However tree maintenance is often required where they grow in the vicinity of buildings or public spaces. If left unattended to they can grow out of control in which case tree removal may be required if they pose a hazard. If you like your trees and do not ultimately want to end up having to remove them. A little management can keep them happy and healthy for a significantly increased timeframe.
Our tree maintenance services are carried out by professional tree surgeons in Aberdeenshire giving you expert advice on the best course of action for your trees. Considering any time / cost / personal restraints that you may wish to disclose and free of charge when we come to provide your quotation.
This offer is a decision made carefully, because our teams work hard and do a good job. But if it is to the wrong aim or an uninformed decision, it can end in a bad result. Simply because no-one had the conversation.
We also spend a significant time on the clean-up (when required!). Because we know that you, our customer, has highlighted over and over that this is an important part of this process for you. Good quality tree pruning is not cheap and we want to make sure you feel you are getting value for your money, and look into your green space with a smile on your face after the works. Otherwise we simply have not done our job properly.
Tree Maintenance Services Moray
For tree advice in Aberdeenshire and Moray please do contact us. All of our advice is based on the current tree science and the British standard for tree work (BS3998 : 2010). Including any tree maintenance carried out in Moray and beyond. The BS3998 is a standard designed to keep Britain’s trees healthy and happy. It’s very important to us as part of our business aims, as we want to have a positive impact on the world around us and the trees within it. By working hard to stay up to date on the latest developments in the tree world. While making sure we are always providing good advice. It’s a relatively new science so developments are being made constantly, which is an exciting place to be!
It’s worth mentioning that the British standard for Tree Pruning and Tree Maintenance doesn’t allow for lopping and topping. This is actively discouraged due to the negative effect it can have on trees. This does not mean we can’t help if your trees are oversized. As there are a variety of approved techniques which can be used to manage the size of your trees!
These alternative techniques are less harmful. Allowing the tree to keep more of its natural shape and growth habit. By working hard to inform and advise of the best ways to treat your trees with kindness. Helping to keep them performing their myriad functions in your life for as long as possible. Bad pruning can cause excessive, dense and bushy growth, defects which can cause long term health and safety issues. As well as causing many of the problems the pruning was intended to help. Pruning must be done well and with sensitivity to the trees in order to maximise the benefits and avoid exacerbating pre-existing problems.
As a company and as people, we care for trees and nature. We work hard to ensure we are a positive influence on the natural world. And the customers who let us help them make the decisions regarding such an important feature in their space and lives.
We operate with £5 million Public Liability Insurance and £10 million Employers Liability Insurance.
